HARTFORD, Conn. — Lawyers for 10 Latino men arrested in Danbury in the past year filed a civil rights lawsuit Wednesday, accusing city and federal officials of a plot to harass immigrants through illegal arrests and intimidation.
The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in New Haven, alleges authorities violated the plaintiffs' constitutional rights to due process, equal protection, free speech, free association and freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures.
Professors and students at Yale Law School will be representing the ten men. One has already been deported to Ecuador.
What's wrong with this picture? How about the terminology that "immigration cases are pending" alludes that these men are ILLEGAL ALIENS and they Do Not Qualify for the same rights as US Citizens just because they stand on USofA soil. If they'd had Green Cards, they would not have been arrested, now, would they?
The mayor has stood up to the Yalies and told them that "local police provide support to federal operations and that they comply with the Constitution." Which infers that the Yale Professors and law students Do Not Comply With The Constitution. Right?
Right! It appears that they think that Marxism trumps Democracy and that they can use the freedoms we enjoy as US Citizens against us (you and me) to defend men who have entered the USofA illegally and do not have those same rights because they are not legally and lawfully supposed or allowed to be in the USofA.
WHEN will this stop?????
BUILD THE FENCE!!!!
