A Must Read Letter from Egypt & Israel
This is a note from a friend of a friend who just returned from Israel and Egypt and I would like to share it with all of you ...certainly gives us lots to think about.
Mon
Feb 11
Dear Friends,
We are home. I am home with this flu that is going around. I had it before we left and got it again in Egypt. I have really been sick. Sure is a waste of time.
Our trip was physically very hard. I lost 10 pounds and got sick. I am glad I went, but would not go back to Egypt . It is a dirty, ungodly country. The smog in Cairo Egypt was terrible. There are 17 million people in that city and they just throw their trash in the streets. The Nile River is polluted. I don't know how such a people who built the pyramids regressed like they have. If the Arabs take over America, we will be a slum. And the noise pollution was terrible. They chant their Muslim prayers all day.
Our tour guide was a Christian, and he was a fine young man, but the ungodliness of the population is everywhere. It was a real example of the difference of "light" vs "darkness." Jesus is truly the Light!
Israel was clean and wonderful. We could eat the food and drink the water. They were kind and loved us. They may not believe in Jesus but you can tell that God is in that land. It snowed in Jerusalem while we were there and it was cold, but we still toured. The Sea of Galilee was stormy and we went out on a boat a short distance, but came back to shore. The Bible is absolutely true about the fact that you cannot be out on the Sea of Galilee in a boat without the danger of dying. We were amazed at the big waves and wind on that Sea or lake.
The weather cleared in Israel at the end of the week and we went to the Temple Mount on a beautiful morning. It was a time with the Lord. We stood at the Golden Gate where Jesus will return. It is sealed because the Muslims are concerned He will return! They even have one of their graveyards outside the gate thinking no King will come through a graveyard. But Jesus is coming! It shows the Muslim are concerned and may believe there is a possibility He will come. I stood and looked at that Gate, and was very moved to think I was standing at the very place where Jesus will enter Jerusalem again!
We did go into Bethlehem . We had to let our Jewish guide out of the bus, and our Arab bus driver drove us through the security gate. That high wall that you have been hearing about on TV is there, dividing Palestine and Israel . We then got a Christian guide when we got into Bethlehem . I was there twice before, once in l980 and again in l999 and there is a stark difference in Bethlehem since the Arabs have taken it over. There were hardly any tourists. We ate in a cafe on the square where I ate before which was packed with tourists, but today it was vacant except for us. They have killed their tourist trade. The Christians in Bethlehem asked us to pray for them, because they had no income now. The Arab men on the manger square glared at us. We did not feel safe and clung together. There were beggar boys everywhere. They hate Americans and Israel!!!!
There is so much I could say about this trip. It has changed my life in some ways. I look at the lostness of the Arabs and the darkness. I look at Israel ; that tiny country amidst such turmoil. If America does not continue to support, Israel I believe God will judge us severely as Americans. The Israelite soldiers were such fine young men and women. They are clean and disciplined and have great love for their land which is something that is missing in America among some of our youth. I rode back to Lubbock from Dallas on airline with an American Air Force career soldier. He said the Israelite pilots were the best in the world. They can fly planes like no one else!
Lastly, we were asked everywhere about the Presidential race in America. There was great interest. The Jews came up to us and asked us many questions. They said they do not want the Clintons again. They warned us that Obama is a Muslim, not a Christian. In Egypt, the Arabs said the same thing to us; they said Obama is Muslim and they are amazed that Americans would consider electing a Muslim President of America!!
I came home loving America even more! Our country is a "light on a hill." Our streets are clean. There are no chants all day. People are kind and take their turn. People over there pushed into line and were rude. They have never heard of the Golden Rule. They will stomp all over you if they want to get in line. I can see now why Jesus' words of loving your neighbor and doing unto others, what you would have them do unto you, were strange words to the lost. The Koreans were the worse about walking all over us or trying to. We take our Christian heritage for granted here in my opinion. We have sanctity of human life. In Egypt, the Arabs don't have any hope so I can see why they would bomb people and commit suicide. They smoked cigarettes everywhere! I could not breathe in Egypt and I think that is why I came down with the flu again. The smog was so bad at the pyramids, I could tell I was getting sick. I would gag on the fumes.
We need to pray for America and this election every day.
God bless,

Michelle Obama on Black America
Hey, Michelle, what if Black America likes Hillary Clinton better?

Obama isn't all he claims to be, he's more
Obama, who has worked as a lawyer and a legislator to improve living conditions for the poor, took campaign donations from Rezko even as Rezko's low-income housing empire was collapsing, leaving many African-American families in buildings riddled with problems -- including squalid living conditions, vacant apartments, lack of heat, squatters and drug dealers.
Did funds from Nadhmi Auchi, one of Britain’s wealthiest men, helped Mr Obama buy his mock Georgian mansion in Chicago?
A company related to Mr Auchi, who has a conviction for corruption in France, registered the loan to Mr Obama's bagman Antoin "Tony" Rezko on May 23 2005. Mr Auchi says the loan, through the Panamanian company Fintrade Services SA, was for $3.5 million.
Three weeks later, Mr Obama bought a house on the city's South Side.
Mr Obama now admits his involvement in this land deal was a “boneheaded mistake”.
The house-and-garden deal raised questions about whether Mr Rezko, a property developer and fast-food restauranteur, made it possible for the Obamas to purchase a mansion they could otherwise not afford.
A prosecution document filed last month alleged that a "political candidate" - identified by the Chicago Sun-Times as Mr Obama - received a $10,000 campaign contribution from what is said to be a $250,000 kickback in the corruption case.
Mr Obama has publicly sought to atone for his closeness to Mr Rezko, paying $150,000 to charity to distance himself from a man accused of political corruption.
Barack Obama is one of the most racist politicians in America today. (He has) locked his granny away and refused to allow her to be seen.
No one could get away with pretending his white grandmother didn't exist except a media witch doctor such as Obama.
Obama's sister had said she was his "adviser" but refused to be photographed. Did she plan to enter the White house with a paper sack over her head?
Madelyn Dunham raised Barry Obama, (used her money to place him in a prestigious Hawaiian school, and) is being hidden away.
All because she is white and Barry Obama is a "black" candidate for president.
Obama's father was Kenyan. How could Mr. Obama not be African-American, how could his ethnic composition be so Arabic?"
The definitive clue to that answer is to look at his name, his father's name, and the names of all his ancestors on his father's side. They are all Arabic.
Researching his roots reveal that on his father's side, he is descended from Arab slave traders.
How does Mr. Obama tell America's black community that while their ancestors were breaking the shackles of slavery, his ancestors were placing those shackles upon their wrists?

What Food Corporations Don't Want You To Know
Here are ten things the food corporations, whose products dominate grocery store shelves across the United States and other countries, absolutely do not want you to know.
1. The ingredients listed on the label aren't the only things in the food. Cancer-causing chemicals such as acrylamides may be formed in the food during high-heat processing, yet there's no requirement to list them on the label. Residues of solvents, pesticides and other chemicals may also be present, but also do not have to be listed. The National Uniformity for Food Act, currently being debated in the U.S. Congress, would make it illegal (yes, illegal) for states to require cancer warnings on foods that contain cancer-causing chemicals (such as California's Proposition 65.) See articles on the Food Uniformity Act.
2. Monosodium glutamate (MSG), which is added to thousands of food and grocery products through a dozen different innocent-sounding ingredients, imbalances endocrine system function, disabling normal appetite regulation and causing consumers to keep eating more food. This chemical not only contributes to nationwide obesity, it also helps food companies boost repeat business. See articles on MSG.
3. MSG is routinely hidden in foods in these ingredients: yeast extract, torula yeast, hydrolyzed vegetable protein and autolyzed yeast. Thousands of common grocery products contain one or more of these chemical taste enhancers, including nearly all "vegetarian" foods such as veggie burgers (read labels to check). See Food manufacturers hide dangerous ingredients in everyday foods by using confusing terms on the label.
4. ADHD in children is caused almost entirely by the consumption of processed food ingredients such as artificial colors and refined carbohydrates. Eighty percent of so-called ADHD children who are taken off processed foods are cured of ADHD in two weeks. See articles on ADHD.
5. The chemical sweetener aspartame, when exposed to warm temperatures for only a few hours, begins to break down into chemicals like formaldehyde and formic acid. Formaldehyde is a potent nerve toxin and causes damage to the eyes, brain and entire nervous system. Aspartame has been strongly linked to migraines, seizures, blurred vision and many other nervous system problems. See articles on aspartame.
6. Most food dips (like guacamole dip) are made with hydrogenated oils, artificial colors and monosodium glutamate. Many guacamole dips don't even contain avocados.
7. Plastic food packaging is a potent health hazard. Scientists now know that plastics routinely seep the chemical bisphenol A into the food, where it is eaten by consumers. Cooking in plastic containers multiplies the level of exposure. Bisphenol is a hormone disruptor and can cause breast formation in men and severe hormonal imbalances in women. It may also encourage hormone-related cancers such as prostate cancer and breast cancer. See Plastics chemical bisphenol A found to promote prostate cancer in animal studies.
8. Milk produced in the United States comes from cows injected with synthetic hormones that have been banned in every other advanced nation in the world. These hormones help explain why unusually young teenage girls develop breasts at such a young age, or why hormone-related cancers like prostate cancer are being discovered in unprecedented numbers. In order to protect Monsanto, the manufacturer of hormones used in the industry, the USDA currently bans organic milk producers from claiming their milk comes from cows that were not treated with synthetic hormones. Even organic milk is now under fire as the Organic Consumers Association says Horizon milk products are falsely labeled as organic. See Horizon milk, Wild Oats named in consumer boycott of "false" organic products. (The solution to all this? Drink raw almond milk instead. Make it yourself with a Vitamix, water and a nut milk bag.)
9. Most grocery products that make loud health claims on their packaging are, in reality, nutritionally worthless (like meal replacement shakes, instant chocolate milk, etc.). The most nutritious foods are actually those the FDA does not allow to make any health claims whatsoever: fresh produce. See articles on food labeling.
10. Food manufacturers actually "buy" shelf space and position at grocery stores. That's why the most profitable foods (and hence, the ones with the lowest quality ingredients) are the most visible on aisle end caps, checkout lanes and eye-level shelves throughout the store. The effect of all this is to provide in-store marketing and visibility to the very foods and beverages that promote obesity, diabetes, cancer, heart disease and other degenerative conditions now ravaging consumers around the world. See articles on food marketing.

You Tube Banned in Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco
From FoxNewsdotcom:
So you know what to do: Log on to You Tube and let them know how important Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Belief are to You Tube users and viewers.
Pakistan is not the only country to have blocked access to YouTube.
In January, a court in Turkey blocked the site because some video clips allegedly insulted the country's founding father, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. It is illegal to insult Ataturk in Turkey.
Last spring the Thai government banned the site for about four months because of clips seen as offensive to Thailand's revered monarch, King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Moroccans last year were unable to access YouTube after users posted videos critical of Morocco's treatment of the people of Western Sahara, a territory Morocco took control of in 1975.

Anglican Bishop Speaks Out in England
The Rt Rev Michael Nazir-Ali, who received death threats for airing his views on Islamic issues, has vowed that he will continue to speak out.
Shortly after being made a bishop in Pakistan - at 35 he was the youngest in the Anglican Church - he was forced to flee to Britain to seek refuge from Muslims who wanted to kill him.
Bishop Nazir-Ali arrived in Britain in the 1980s and seems to have taken up the mantle for defending the country's values he fears are being threatened by a loss of its Christian heritage.
He says that he never expected to suffer the same treatment in Britain and expresses concerns over recent social developments.
"The real danger to Britain today is the spiritual and moral vacuum that has occurred for the last 40 or 50 years. When you have such a vacuum something will fill it.
"If people are not given a fresh way of understanding what it means to be a Christian and what it means to be a Christian-based society then something else may well take the place of all that we're used to and that could be Islam."
"I don't believe in multiculturalism. When people come to this country they have to obey the laws of the land."
Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor, the head of the Catholic Church in England and Wales

One day a florist goes to a barber for a haircut. After the cut he asked about his bill and the barber replies, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber goes to open his shop the next morning there is a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.
Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replies, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The cop is happy and leaves the shop. The next morning when the barber goes to open up there is a 'thank you' card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door.
Later that day, a college professor comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replies, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The professor is very happy and leaves the shop. The next morning when the barber opens his shop, there is a 'thank you' card and a dozen different books, such as 'How to Improve Your Business' and 'Becoming More Successful.
'Then, a Congressman comes in for a haircut, and when he goes to pay his bill the barber again replies, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The Congressman is very happy and leaves the shop. The next morning when the barber goes to open up, there are a dozen Congressmen lined up waiting for a free haircut.
And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between the citizens of our country and the members of our Congress.
Vote carefully this year.

Just doin' jobs Americans won't do . . . ?
MINNEAPOLIS — A woman who authorities say is in the country illegally and using an alias was charged Friday with four counts of criminal vehicular homicide and two lesser charges in a school bus crash that killed four children.
Now do you understand how important it is to Build The Fence? Write your Congressmen and demand the fence be built if only to protect your children and grandchildren from illegal aliens driving without licenses and running stop signs. The woman couldn't speak English, could she even read the word STOP or know what it meant?

Blogger Kenneth Lamb Researches Obama's Ethnic History
It's been verified that some of Barak Obama's historical timeline, characters and strories are incorrect; the question now is whether he is truly an African-American. As defined by United States law, a person must be at least 12.5% of the racial component claimed for minority status. Barak Obama is not 12.5% Negro African. Barak Obama's entire self-history is built on the lie that he is an African-American. He has used that phrase to catapult himself into the Presidential race in 2008. His entire public life has been based on lies he wrote and lies he told. The information was available for all to read and research to determine his ethnicity, yet because we want to be so "politically correct" and not be cast as "racist" we failed to do our homework. It's all there in the percentage of his ethnic heritage.
Barak Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother; 6.25% ethnically African Negro from his mother's great-grandparent (1/2 the legally defined amount to claim that heritage); and 43.75% Arabic from his father. Baraka Hussein Obama is an Arab-American!
No news hound seemed to question the fact that every male on Barak Obama's father's side has an Arab name. On his father's side, the family is Arabic. The Kenyan Government classified Barak Obama's father as "Arab African." Barak Obama does not have the Negro African genealogy to call himself an African American. He is in truth an Arab American.
How so, since he's from Kenya? True Negro Tribes in Western Kenya have Christian names. Their fathers and grandfathers have Christian names. When Barak Obama's father gave him an Arab name, he was separating Barak from the African Negro Tribes and including him in the Arabic. Barak Obama's Arab genealogy traces to Arab Slave Traders who preyed upon African Negro Christian Tribes in Western Kenya.
The truth is that Barak Obama's father was not a poor Kenyan goat herder. He was a highly placed Arab African with a degree in Economics from Columbia University in the Kenyan Government of Jomo Kenyatta. Barak Obama lied about his father's position in the Kenyan Government to hide the fact that both his father and he are Arabic and not Negro Africans.
Barak Obama is an American Fiction Story, strong on lies and weak on truth. All you have to do is a little research and you might have to admit that you kind of enjoyed the lie when you believed it.

John McCain for POTUS
Six Big Lies About John McCain
LIE #1: John McCain isn’t a loyal Republican.
LIE #2: McCain represents a betrayal and rejection of the Reagan coalition.
LIE #3: John McCain organized “The Gang of Fourteen” to Block the Confirmation of Conservative Judges.
LIE #4: John McCain supports higher taxes.
LIE #5: McCain is an advocate of “amnesty” and “open borders.”
LIE #6: McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform represents a devastating assault on free speech.
McCain's concise, eloquent summary of his conservative philosophy:
“I seek the nomination of our Party,” he said, “because I am as confident today as I was when I first entered public life as a foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution that the principles of the Republican Party – our confidence in the good sense and resourcefulness of free people – are always in America’s best interests. In war and peace, in good times and challenging ones, we have always known that the first responsibility of government is to keep this country safe from its enemies, and the American people free of a heavy-handed government that spends too much of their money, and tries to do for them what they are better able to do for themselves. We want government to do its job, not your job;; to do it better and to do it with less of your money; to defend our nation’s security wisely and effectively, because the cost of our defense is so dear to us; to respect our values because they are the true source of our strength; to enforce the rule of law that is the first defense of freedom; to keep the promises it makes ot us and not make promises it will not keep. We believe government should do only those things we cannot do individually, and then get out of the way so that the most industrious, ingenious, and enterprising people in the world can do what they have always done: build an even greater country than the one they inherited.”

Michelle Obama's America and Michelle Malkin's
At a speech in Milwaukee this week on behalf of her husband's Democratic presidential campaign, Mrs. Obama remarked, "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country, and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change."
Mrs. Obama's statement was met with warm applause from other Barack supporters who have apparently also been devoid of pride in their country for their adult lifetimes. Or maybe it was just a Pavlovian response to the word "change." What a sad, empty, narcissistic, ungrateful, unthinking lot.
I believe it was Michael Kinsley who quipped that a gaffe is when a politician tells the truth. In this case, it's what happens when an elite Democratic politician's wife says what a significant portion of the party's base really believes to be the truth: America is more a source of shame than pride.
Michelle Obama has achieved enormous professional success, political influence and personal acclaim in America. Ivy League-educated, she's been lauded by Essence magazine as one of the 25 World's Most Inspiring Women; by Vanity Fair as one of the 10 World's Best-Dressed Women; and named one of "The Harvard 100" most influential alumni. She has had an amazingly blessed life. But you wouldn't know it from her campaign rhetoric and her griping about her and her husband's student loans.

Quadrant: Viewpoint on Islamic Extremism
RECENTLY, Osama bin Laden called George W. Bush stupid. Well, Bush has run the world’s largest and arguably most successful economy through challenging times. Like Ronald Reagan, he’s used tactics that have proven most of the economic intelligentsia wrong. Regard-less of what you think of Bush’s skills as an orator, that takes intelligence. Bin Laden, on the other hand: his greatest achievement has been to finance novel ways for people to blow themselves up in crowded places.
More importantly, bin Laden comes from a position of profound intellectual weakness. He’s an ideologue. He and his fellow terrorists have no means of dealing with the world in a way that is anything but dogmatic. There has been no Renaissance in their particular universe; they can’t even draw on any figurative art tradition where these issues are played out. They’ve never learnt to live with complexity and uncertainty.
The Muslim fundamentalists are not really at war with the West. They are at war with inductive reality and with the challenge of any other competing worldview. Their response to uncertainty and doubt is rage.
Islamic extremism, as a subculture, might also have the resources to stay indefinitely locked at the stages of denial and anger. It could act as a brake, effectively stopping large parts of the Islamic world from developing its own Renaissance capability and engaging with the modern world in a rational way.

Supporting Christians in Black Africa
For the past forty years the Western world has done little to support Christians in black Africa.from a reply by Hugh on Dhimmi Watch.
During the Biafran War, a war that resulted from Muslim attacks and mass killings of Christians in the Muslim north, a war that was intended to defend those largely Ibo Christians from what Col. Ojukwu called, in his Ahiara Declaration, a "jihad," not a single Western country save for Israel would recognize Biafra.
Meanwhile, Muslims gave diplomatic and other aid to the north. Egyptian pilots wantonly bombed Ibo villages, killing thousands for the fun of it. It was a cause in the Muslim world. It was not a cause in the non-Muslim world.
Perhaps some Western governments did not wish to interrupt the flow of oil from Nigeria. But had a state of Biafra been declared, it would have been self-sufficient, with all the oil located in the south, and the industrious southerners would not have wasted oil income on the armaments that the Muslim-dominated governments have done.
That was the first great betrayal by the Western world.
The second was in the Sudan, where for 20 years a slow-moving genocide, consisting of outright killing, and of deliberate starvation, has caused the deaths of close to 2 million black Africans, both Christian and animist. In the last year or two, the Arab supremacist ideology within Islam has impeleld the Arabs to launch attacks, and the same kind of starvation methods, even on fellow, but non-Arab, Muslims.
There are others -- the Muslim aggression that can be seen all over East and West Africa, with Saudi money and mosques and preachers pouring in, and the attacks on the Ismaili sect (regarded as "too moderate") by these Wahhabi imports, while nothing is done to even recongize the problem, as if it were purely a matter of religion and not of political menace.
Several Arab states openly enslave blacks -- Mali, Mauritania, Niger -- and others do so a bit more discreetly.
While the Americans should leave Iraq, this does not mean they should cease to employ military power where it makes sense.
It makes sense in the Sudan, where the mass killings and mass dislocations in Darfur continue, virtually without anything being done except a great deal of ostentatious clucking in assorted corridors.

Baraka Obama Is Related to Talibani Raila Odinga of Kenya
When Raila Odinga lost the presidential election last week (12/27) to Mwai Kibaki, he claimed the vote was rigged, whereupon his tribal followers went on murderous rampages such as in the town of Eldoret, where on New Years Day dozens of people were burned to death in a church set on fire... Throughout Kenya, hundreds of people have been politically murdered. . . . Raila has now made a deal for support from the Soviets' successors as world-champion enemies of the West and democratic freedoms. . . . It pledges the support of Kenyan Moslems for Raila's election. In return, as President of Kenya, Raila agrees . . . Within 6 months re-write the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Shariah as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions. Within one year facilitate the establishment of a Shariah court in every Kenyan divisional headquarters. [Note: everywhere in Kenya, not just in "Muslim declared regions."]
And here is the biggest non-surprise: Raila Odinga has, in his own words, a "close personal friendship" with Barrack Hussein Obama Junior. When Obama went to Kenya in August of 2006, he was hosted by Raila and spoke in praise of him at rallies in Nairobi... Obama’s bias for his fellow Luo was so blatant that a Kenya government spokesman denounced Obama during his visit as Raila’s “stooge.”
Kenya is destined to turn into an African version of Talibanistan.
* "Popularize Islam, the only true religion... by ordering every primary school in Kenya in the regions to conduct daily Madrassa classes."
* "Impose a total ban on open-air gospel crusades by worshippers of the cross..."
* "Outlaw gospel programs... on KBC, the National Broadcaster."
* "Impose a total ban on the public consumption of alcoholic beverages..."
* "Impose an immediate ban on women's public dressing styles that are considered immoral and offensive to the Muslim faith..."
Obama's friend, in other words, is setting the stage for a transformation of Kenya into a Muslim state, similar to that which governed Afghanistan during the days of the Taliban.
Note that the mainstream media hasn't reported a single word regarding the true nature of Kenya's unrest -- nor Obama's involvement with Odinga and the onset of a Taliban-style Sharia law in Kenya.
On 30 November 2007: Evangelical churches and some Muslim leaders want the contentious memorandum of understanding signed between presidential candidate Raila Odinga and an Islamic lobby group rescinded.
On Thursday, another group of Muslim leaders and scholars, including officials of the Supreme Council of Muslims of Kenya (SUPKEM), opposed the pact, saying those who signed it were not the official voice of the faith community.
Kenya is a democracy, they said, where the rights and responsibilities of all citizens regardless of religion, ethnicity, race or gender are guaranteed by the Constitution.
"It would be dangerous for our young democracy if any group that felt aggrieved were to sidestep the legal process and enter into secret MoUs with individual leaders. Such secret agreements pose a serious threat to constitutionalism and the rule of law."
Obama is Odinga’s paternal first cousin.
On Doctor Bulldog and Ronin Blog: Some Muslims would celebrate a victory of Obama by attacking someone or each other. If he loses the election Muslims in some locations will riot and attack someone or each other. Obama finding himself stuck between Islam, Kenyan tribes and anything else really will not hinder his effectiveness except regionally. Radical Muslims will always hate whoever sits in the White House.

An Arab American looks at Candidate Obama (and other Obama myths debunked)
At what point does an individual stop supporting the lesser of two evils? asks Remi Kanazi in the Worldpress dot org Opinion Page on 11 Feb 2008. The question has became particularly important of late, as one man ascended to political stardom ostensibly breaking free from the evils of mainstream politics and creating a platform based on hope and change. This transcendent figure is presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama.
Searching for substantive policy, I began to chip away at Obama's political posturing and came to a daunting conclusion: there is a multitude of reasons why one shouldn't vote for Obama . . .
Surprisingly, this is a politician who once curried favor with prominent members of the Palestinian community.
Post-9/11, inexperience in foreign affairs has been a sore point for all Democrats. There is nothing more troubling than a field of candidates trying to prove themselves to their opposition.
Contrary to public perception, Obama is not a humanitarian. . . . he supports an eventual end to the war primarily to alleviate America's financial and militaristic burden. His position illustrates a profound difference between a humanistic and militaristic approach to Iraq, the latter of which will have a dramatic negative effect on Iraq's civilian population. Moreover, Obama squarely blames Iraqis for their own misery, focusing little attention on the American campaign.
Also see A Liberal Seeing Both Sides
On 18 December 2009, Debbie Schlussel wrote: And while Obama may not identify as a Muslim, that's not how the Arab and Muslim Streets see it. In Arab culture and under Islamic law, if your father is a Muslim, so are you. And once a Muslim, always a Muslim. You cannot go back. In Islamic eyes, Obama is certainly a Muslim. He may think he's a Christian, but they do not.
Debbie Schlussel writes on 27 January 2007: I was right on the money about Obama's sympathies and loyalties. To whom will he be more sympathetic and loyal--his Muslim family members or you? If you picked you, your ego needs a deflation (and your brain, an inflation).
"In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging," Senator Obama laments. "I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

Are you paying attention?
How many are actually paying attention to this? There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, Native Americans, etc. And then there are just Americans.
You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You Call me "White boy," "Cracker," "Honkey," "Whitey," Caveman" ..And that's OK.
But when I call you, Nig..., Kike, Towel head, Sand-nig..., Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink...
You call me a racist.
You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?
You have the United Negro College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You Have Yom Hashoah
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi
You have the NAACP.
You have BET.
If we had WET (White Entertainment Television). We'd be racists.
If we had a White Pride Day ..You would call us racists.
If we had White History Month . . We'd be racists.
If we had any organization for only whites to "advance" OUR lives . . We'd be racists.
We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,
a Black Chamber of Commerce,
And then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce.
Wonder who pays for that?
If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships ... You know we'd be racists.
There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US.
Yet if there were "White colleges" .. THAT would be a racist college.
In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights . . You would call us racists.
You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it.
But when we announce our white pride .. You call us racists.
You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us.
But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society . . You call him a racist.
I am proud. But, you call me a racist.
Why is it that only whites can be racists?
There is nothing improper about this subject.

The truth about Senator Barak(a) Hussein Obama
Senator Obama's church states: We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.
Senator Obama's ideology explained: Barack Hussein Obama is an African-American who has not shared the black American experience and was, by birth and blood, a Muslim for at least 27 years. His politics are rooted in Marx and socialism. He is a master at shaping his own mythology and completely unqualified to be Commander in Chief.
As explained above in "Blogger Kenneth Lamb Researches Obama's Ethnic History" it is a proven fact that Barak Obama is an Arab-American and not an African-American. Barak Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother; 6.25% ethnically African Negro from his mother's great-grandparent (1/2 the legally defined amount to claim that heritage); and 43.75% Arabic from his father.

A Voice of Reason
"Please stop what you're doing," Imam Mostafa Chendid, the leader of the Islamic Faith Community, said in an address to young people during Friday's prayer. "The prophet has not taught you to burn down schools, or burn cars or infrastructure."
Again, Muslims are protesting cartoons of Muhammad. Denmark's leading newspaper reprinted one of the 12 cartoons in a show of solidarity as after police reported they had uncovered a plot to kill the cartoonist. And true to form, other than one voice of reason in Denmark, Muslims in Gaza, Pakistan and Denmark are shouting "death to the cartoonist." If it weren't so serious, it would be comical.
The newspapers said they republished the cartoon to show their firm commitment to freedom of speech after the arrest Tuesday of three people accused of plotting to kill the man who drew the cartoon depicting the prophet wearing a turban shaped like a bomb with a lit fuse.

You know, you would think that Muslims would eventually understand that every time they protest these cartoons, thousands of bloggers are going to reprint at least one cartoon if not all of them. Benjamin Franklin reportedly said: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." You think maybe someone should inform the Muslims? They probably don't have the mental capacity to comprehend it, anyway.
WHY?
Why? That's the question probably on most people's lips recently. Teenagers killing classmates, college kids killing classmates, a former college grad student returning to campus to shoot students . . . why? What is the point? What political statement are they making? Are they even making a statement?
Capuchin Father Raniero Cantalarnessa gave an Advent homily on December 7, to Pope Benedict XVI in which he stated that giving in to lust hurts other people and the individual. If you've read my letter to the GA Bulletin below, you know that lust isn't just about the carnal. Lust is about anything that is more important than anything or anyone else. Lust is about recognition. Lust is about power. Lust is about money (the LOVE of which is the root of all evil actions). Lust is what "I" want, even if it harms "you."
LUST is unbridled craving for something deemed missing in ones life.
Just what are the shooters lusting after? Recognition? Power? Control? What do you think? My guess is that most shooters somehow feel as if they don't exist to other classmates. Some may have been bullied. Some may have been brushed off when asking for recognition by asking for a date. Some may have tried to buy friendships only to lose them once their finances dried up. Some may need friends to validate themselves.
In some way, I believe the "I" of the shooter wants someone to recognize him. Did he drop hints to others? Did he signal his lack of "I" to anyone by actions or deeds? He probably did, even if the hints went by unnoticed. Don't we tell people to "grow up" or "quit acting like a cry baby" when they're "acting out" to get our attention? Maybe these shooters felt as if the only way to finally get attention was to act out with a gun. When they plan to kill themselves, they plan to take as many with them as they can. How sad and how demeaning to those they shoot.
And then what? Why do they stop at one or thirty-one before killing themselves? What is their motivation? That's another "why" we may never understand.
Discipline.
Discipline in ones life will control the lust in ones life. And eventually discipline becomes the habit and replaces lust. But it's not going to be as easy as saying it. If a person is on medication, he must continue to take it, "no matter what" until a doctor says he doesn't have to take it any longer. If a person is having problems being heard, he can go talk to a parent, a teacher, a best friend, a mental health official, a pastor or Priest. He doesn't have to go searching for a gun and some ammunition. Who decided that a gun was the way to resolve conflicts?
Let me ask that again: WHO decided that killing someone was the way to resolve conflicts with that someone? That makes no reasonable sense. Is the person who uses this "fuzzy logic" innocent by reason of "fuzzy logic" when he uses this excuse? Not if he's over the age of consent -- which today means old enough to understand that cartoons are not real.
Killing the other person does not solve anything. And I think that's why so many of the shooters decide on suicide as the "way out" of being punished. If that's the plan all along, my human side (vs my spiritual side) wonders why the shooter doesn't just end it all without taking anyone else with him. But then, that wouldn't bring the person all the posthumous recognition. My spiritual side wonders why the shooter didn't think about prayer first and use better logic to resolve his personal conflicts with life. Again, no recognition in that.
Seems to simple doesn't it? Well, let me tell you, the phrase "I can live through anything" (which has been written about many months ago on this blog) is true. No matter what it is. Grab a prayer book before even thinking about grabbing a gun. Prayer doesn't change "things." Prayer changes the one who prays.
God bless the survivors and God grant His grace to the souls of those who died.

In response to an article promoting illegal immigration
11 February 2007
Editor
The Georgia Bulletin
Archdiocese of Atlanta
Atlanta, GA
Dear Editor K:
"For I was a stranger in a foreign country." How many times has this been quoted to dismiss illegal immigration in the USofA by clergy of many faith-walks and the Catholic Church? The Hebrews were strangers in a foreign country until God gave them the Promised Land. Jesus was a stranger on earth, since his Home is the heavenly realm. In a spiritual sense, true Christians are foreigners on their journey through life because earth is not our final abode.
Further, the definition of "stranger" also includes the nouns "interloper, intruder, invader, outsider and uninvited person." These are the definitions of the term which come to mind when speaking of illegal immigrants. Recall the parable of the Wedding Feast in Matthew Chapter 22. The intruder, the outsider, the invader intentionally accepted the invitation, knowing he had no wedding garment. We could state that he had no legal documents, no passport, to be at the wedding. What happened to him? He was bound hands and feet and was cast outside. Our treatment of illegal immigrants is not to toss them aside, but to invite them to return home and follow legal and lawful methods of entering the USofA.
If we illustrate the statement "I was a stranger in a foreign country" used for Jesus' short time in Egypt and relate it to illegal immigration, the hypothesis is that all illegal immigrants who have been in the USofA (or any other nation) longer than two years should follow Christ's example and return to their homeland to live out the remainder of their lives.
In Dec. 13, issue of the GA Bulletin, page 30, is an article which relates to this issue of illegal immigration entitled: "Giving In To Lust Hurts Other People, Says Papal Preacher." Lust has more to it than sexual desires. Lust embodies the most selfish of selfish attitudes. Lust is "what I want, even if it hurts you." The Talmud quote of the man in the boat who is drilling a hole under his seat with total disregard of how his actions will affect the others in the boat well illustrates what illegal immigrants are doing to United States citizens, to our limited resources and to the sovereignty of the United States.
Does the Catholic Church now advocate criminal behavior? Does she represent robbery, burglary, pillage, despoiling, larceny, extortion, looting, purloining? She does if she accepts no responsibility to preach accountability to illegal immigrants. Being loyal to the Church includes morality of actions, adherence to authority, firmness of resolve to abide by the laws of the land, obligation to honesty, fidelity to truth, and impeccability of character.
Catholic immigrants who have entered the USofA lawfully embody integrity and are welcome to the community. Catholic immigrants who has entered the USofA unlawfully embody corruption of Catholic principles. Those illegal immigrants are welcome to return to their countries and apply for lawful entry into the USofA so that they will no longer be labeled "interlopers, intruders, invaders, outsiders, uninvited persons" and "criminals" by US Citizens.
"Render to Caesar" means following the laws of the land and it is something that Jesus would do.

I did my part, now it's up to you, if you agree.
This letter went out to my two Federal representatives, one State Senator friend, and the Governor of Georgia. Let's see if anyone takes up this cause.
This set of videos is about an hour each, however, the message is important for our day and time.
The USofA is being invaded. Not by humans, but by NON-Native species (and we're not the only Country with this problem). States have the power to work toward eradication of these non-natives and the rehabilitation of native species. But the States (and potentially the Federal Government) needs to act quickly. See my plan below.
(Highlight, copy and paste to your browser)
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5333797585907820770
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1443126869678785107

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5413793451378830936
MY Idea:
Begin a "works progress" program for legal immigrants and citizen teenagers to work toward eradication of non-native species where ever they are found. Kudzu in the South comes to mind. With enough man-power, this non-native and invasive species of plant could be eradicated. Treat the teens like the CCC boys of the 1920's (only they'd have to earn more than a dollar a day), train them, test them, and give them certificates as "techs" after their three years with this Program.
Offer the teens Military Service with rank or Peace Corps service in place of Military Service after their 3 years training and hands on work in the USofA. After 4 years in either Military or Peace Corps, offer them a type of "G-I Bill" to complete their education at a 2 or 4 year college.
The USofA HAS the wherewithal to take care of the problem of non-native species. But do they have the commitment, the fortitude, the desire of purpose, the ability to take teens out of the arcade, off the streets and into a "Work Program?"
Please spread the word -- this could be what unifies our Country.
Thank you,

Aluminum and other ingredients to be wary of
A while ago, I read that researchers found a link between Alzheimer's and aluminum from cookware and underarm antiperspirants. This has since been questioned and disproved. Recently I read that aluminum in antiperspirants may be associated with obesity. Well, fat people usually sweat a lot and so they use a lot of antiperspirant. About four months ago I stopped using antiperspirants and switched to a deodorant without an aluminum based antiperspirant. I went searching for the brand yesterday and couldn't find it at the "dollar and a quarter" store. So I traveled to Fred's (a variety store) because I'd seen the no-name brand there. Well, the brand was there but the ingredients have changed and now include aluminum. So, I read the ingredients of the men's deodorants and found three to try, none of which has any aluminum listed. One smells like soap, one is from the makers of Brut, and the other doesn't have a 'smell' that I could detect. So, I'm trying them out to see which I'll stockpile.

These are ingredients that you can also find in Natural Products as well.... Always check the labels of what you're using....
1. Methyl, Propyl, Butyl and Ethyl Paraben — Used as inhibitors of microbial growth and to extend shelf life of products. Have caused many allergic reactions and skin rashes. Studies have shown that they are weakly estrogenic and can be absorbed by the body through the skin. Widely used even though they are known to be toxic.
2. Diethanolamine (DEA), Triethanolamine (TEA) — Often used in cosmetics as emulsifiers and/or foaming agents. They can cause allergic reactions, eye irritation and dryness of hair and skin. DEA and TEA are "amines" (ammonia compounds) and can form cancer-causing nitrosamines when they come in contact with nitrates. Toxic if absorbed into the body over a long period of time.
3. Diazolidinyl Urea, Imidazolidinyl Urea — These are widely used preservatives. The American Academy of Dermatology has found them to be a primary cause of contact dermatitis. Two trade names for these chemicals are Germall II and Germall 115. Neither of the Germall chemicals contains a good anti-fungal agent, and they must be combined with other preservatives. Both these chemicals release formaldehyde, which can be toxic.
4. Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate — A cheap, harsh detergent used in shampoos for its cleansing and foam-building properties. Often derived from petroleum, it is frequently disguised in pseudo-natural cosmetics with the phrase "comes from coconuts." It causes eye irritation, scalp scurf similar to dandruff, skin rashes and other allergic reactions.
5. Petrolatum — Also known as petroleum jelly, this mineral oil derivative is used for its emollient properties in cosmetics. It has no nutrient value for the skin and can interfere with the body's own natural moisturizing mechanism, leading to dryness and chapping. It often creates the very conditions it claims to alleviate. Manufacturers use petrolatum because it is unbelievably cheap.
6. Propylene Glycol — Ideally this is a vegetable glycerin mixed with grain alcohol, both of which are natural. Usually it is a synthetic petrochemical mix used as a humectant. It has been known to cause allergic reactions, hives and eczema. When you see PEG (polyethylene glycol) or PPG (polypropylene glycol) on labels, beware—these are related synthetics.
7. PVP/VA Copolymer — A petroleum-derived chemical used in hairsprays, styling aids and other cosmetics. It can be considered toxic, since inhaled particles can damage the lungs of sensitive persons.
8. Stearalkonium Chloride — A quaternary ammonium compound used in hair conditioners and creams. Developed by the fabric industry as a fabric softener, it is a lot cheaper and easier to use in hair conditioning formulas than proteins or herbals, which are beneficial to the hair. Causes allergic reactions. Toxic.
9. Synthetic Colors — Used to make cosmetics "pretty," synthetic colors, along with synthetic hair dyes, should be avoided at all costs. They will be labeled as FD&C or D&C, followed by a color and a number. Example: FD&C Red No. 6 / D&C Green No. 6. Many synthetic colors can be carcinogenic. If a cosmetic contains them, don't use it.
10. Synthetic Fragrances — The synthetic fragrances used in cosmetics can have as many as 200 ingredients. There is no way to know what the chemicals are, since on the label it will simply read "fragrance." Some problems caused by these chemicals include headaches, dizziness, rash, hyper-pigmentation, violent coughing, vomiting, skin irritation—the list goes on. Advice: Don't buy a cosmetic that has the word "fragrance" on the ingredients label.
Makes you wonder what people used a hundred and fifty years ago, doesn't it? Well, it does me. And the information on petrolatum is eyeopening.
Enjoy your weekend. Peace Out.

Romney Drops Out
This man not only sounds Presidential, he IS Presidential. Romney in 2012!
Mike Huckabee is not as "Christian" as he purports to be. He is intolerant, Anti-Catholic and Anti-Mormon. He is not a 'true' Conservative, but he's convinced people, in the manner of Bill Clinton, the 'other' Former Governor of Arkansas who ran for POTUS, that he is and that he is also a "fundamental evangelical." Let's examine those two words: Fundamental means Structured. List a "religion" or "faith walk" which is "unstructured" -- I hear crickets. ALL religions and faith walks are structured. Evangelical means Gospel Preaching. List one Christian religion or faith-walk which doesn't preach the Gospel -- I hear crickets again. Fundamental and Evangelical are not "magic words" which make one person "better" than another. Look at the DEEDS of the person. The Epistle of James states that Faith without (good) works is dead. Where are Huckabees GOOD works? Pardoning more felons than Clinton? Using the pulpit to garner votes? Trying to strong arm John Bailey to get charges of animal cruelty against his son dropped? (He later fired Mr. Bailey, who was the director of the Arkansas Police, for not complying with his orders.) In my Bible Mike Huckabee doesn't begin to qualify as a "Christian" candidate for anything but janitor. If that's harsh, so be it. Compare Mike Huckabee to Pope Benedict XVI and tell me which one embodies Christianity.

Muhammad rules against hygiene for women medical staff.
Already in the United Kingdom! Coming soon to a city and town near you! Muslim doctors who refuse to scrub up for surgery! Muslim doctors who refuse to scrub up between patients! Muslim doctors spreading diseases. Why? The Muslim Medical Association states: "no practicing Muslim woman — doctor, medical student, nurse or patient — should be forced to bare her arms below the elbow."
What can YOU do?
Stay away from Muslim women doctors, for one. In fact, since the Koran states that a Muslim can lie to an infidel, it's probably best to stay away from any Muslim medical professional. You could be dying and because you're an infidel, the Muslim doctor could send you home telling you to take two aspirin and call him or her in the morning (if you're still alive, which the Muslim doctor will hope you won't be). If the radiologist is a Muslim, he or she could intentionally misread your x-ray or MRI or CAT scan or any other test, since you are an infidel!
Is this RACIST? NO! This is information which could save your life.
Muslim medical students are refusing to obey hygiene rules brought in to stop the spread of deadly superbugs, because they say it is against their religion.
Dr Charles Tannock, a Conservative MEP and former hospital consultant, said: "These students are being trained using taxpayers' money and they have a duty of care to their patients not to put their health at risk.
"Perhaps these women should not be choosing medicine as a career if they feel unable to abide by the guidelines that everyone else has to follow."
Muslim Medical Association suggests long sterile gloves that fit up to the elbow.
I have a suggestion for Muslims: GET REAL!

Proselytizing by fire and sword
“In politics, as in religion, it is equally absurd to aim at making proselytes by fire and sword. Heresies in either can rarely be cured by persecution.” —Alexander Hamilton
I wonder if Alexander Hamilton had read about the Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus and the educated Persian on the subject of Christianity and Islam, and the truth of both.

Time Out for Me
I have been visiting family and am about to go off again -- retirement is so much fun -- so I will not be blogging much over the next few days and then I'm taking the month of February off for personal improvement (sounds so enlightened, doesn't it?)
There is so much going on in the world that I could comment on -- let's see, there's the Gaza Strip reopening which I believe is a total and grand error foisted on the Israelis by appeasers and proponents of the hateful cult of islam (I refuse to capitalize it or give it recognition it does not deserve due to its vengeful nature). Then there's the election process of caucuses and primaries. Fred Dalton Thompson is no longer running. He was the 'great GOP hope' and I believe he expected the media to treat him as a television star but when they treated him as 'one more enemy of Hillary' he wasn't ready for it. Then the media decided he was "lazy" and pushed that on the uninformed public so that the term stuck to Fred like gravy to rice. (No wonder Hillary lives and breathes by the Polls -- humans are basically ignorant and she doesn't have to be smart, just cunning.) Then there is the weather, which everyone likes to discuss as it relates to them or to global warming (the big AlGore-ism lie) or to the coming ice age, as my generation was taught in school. Then, there's crime, the interest rate, drugs, the de-fence-less Southern border, etc, etc, ad nauseum.
But I'm not going there today or during February, you are free to go there whilst I am on my personal retreat. I may come up for air and post in February if something I read is just too good not to remark about. So check in when you have a second. As I've said before, my side bar has great links and I invite you to peruse them.
Peace Out.

You Tube has Hillary's number.
Leave Sid Blumenthal Alone (Hillary pal)
Spiderman Calls Hillary a Liar
Hillary doesn't know? Then how can she be fit to be a POTUS?
And she can't sing and doesn't know all the words to the National Anthem!
Her Hillary-nesses usual answer to questions she's not prepared for
Hillary says she has 8 years experience in the White House. Should Laura Bush be running for President, too? Laura has the same White House experience as Hillary.

Today's Reading and Prayers
PRAY "To be so strong that nothing that happens can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own success. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to allow the presence of trouble."
Father, I know that all day long there are blessings falling down on me that I fail to see. Sometimes those blessings don’t look like blessings at all. Sometimes they seem like crosses to bear. But I know that whatever You send my way comes with love as a blessing and it is good for me. So I want to take this moment to thank You for all the little and big things that You do in my life. I thank You for the happy and wonderful times and I thank You for the challenging and difficult times as well. It is though all these times that You help me to grow and become the person You made me to be. I want to become more aware of Your presence and Your blessings. It is my heart’s desire to recognize even Your smallest blessing in my life. I pray that I will see more clearly all that You do for me every day so that I may five You all the Thanksgiving You deserve and in turn may I draw closer to You. Amen."
"When things go wrong as they sometimes will, when the road you’re trudging seems all uphill. When the funds are low and the debts are high, and you want to smile but you have to sigh. When care is pressing you down a bit, rest of you must but do not quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns, as each of us eventually learns. And many a fellow turns about, when he might have won had he stuck it out. So, don’t give up though the pace seems slow, you may succeed with one more blow. Sometimes the goal is nearer than it seems to a faltering man. Often the struggler has given up, when he might have captured the victor’s cup. He learned too late when the night came down, how close he was to the golden crown. Success is failure turned inside out, the silver lining to clouds of doubt. You never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far. So stick to the fight when you’re heard hit, it’s when things seem worst… you must not quit. Just call on Jesus to be your aid. So his love can uplift and guild you. He will stand beside you night and day, every hour your whole life through."
"I said a prayer for you today and I know God Must have heard…I felt the answer in my heart although He spoke no word. I did not ask for wealth or fame, I knew you would not mind. I asked Him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind. I asked that He would be near you at the start of each new day, to grant you health and blessings and friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small… Bit it was for His loving care I prayed for most of all. May God Bless You!"
"Oh Jesus, behold our family here before you. Once more we consecrate ourselves to you… our trails and joys… that our home, like yours, may always be the shrine of peace, purity, love, labor, and faith. We ask that you protect and bless all of our family, absent and present, living and dead. Oh Mary, loving Mother of Jesus and out mother also, pray to Jesus for out family, for all the families of the world, to guard the cradle of the newborn, the schools of the young and our homes. Oh Joseph, Holy Guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by your prayers in all the necessities of life. Ask of Jesus that special grace which He granted to you, to watch over our home at the pillow of the sick and the dying so that with Mary and you, Heaven may find out family unbroken in the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Amen."
"O, Lord Jesus, I know that you love me and I know that you died on the cross out of your love for me. But I cannot feel that love, Jesus, because my heart is so full of pain and hurt. I have become a silent weeper with a hard shell around my heart to keep out any more pain. I know that shell is locking out your love for me too and I want so much to feel your love. So tonight, Lord Jesus, I offer to you all my pain and sorrow, my anger and hurt. Your carried the heavy wooden cross to Calvary to set me free from sin… will you not carry my pains to free me from my silent weeping? I give them to you as a gift and I trust you to heal me. In doing so, I forgive all those who have caused me pain, anger, hurt, or sorrow and I ask forgiveness for anyone that I have hurt or sorrowed. Thank you for loving me and healing me. I love you, Lord Jesus! Amen"
"Oh God, who gave to St. Peregrine an angel for his companion, the Mother of God for his Teacher and Jesus for the Physician of his malady; grant, we beseech Thee, thought his merits, that we, while on earth, we may intensely love our holy angel, the Blessed Virgin, and our Savior, and in heaven bless them forever. Grant that we receive the healing for which we now call upon You. Though the same Christ our Lord. Amen Say one Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be To The Father with this prayer St, Peregrine, Pray for us"
"The Sunflower turns and greets the morning sun with the fullness of its face. And as the sun travels across the sky, the sunset, the sunflower follows… until at the sunset, the sunflower lowers its head to await the next dawn. Lord, help me be like the Sunflower… keeping my focus always on You. Though You shed Your blood to cleanse me, I know that each act I do without love or caring robs me of the fullness of what I might have been. Your and all the angels in Heaven look on as I walk though my life, sometimes drawing closer, sometimes falling back. I know that it is neither Your or the evil one that takes me a step closer or further away. It is my own acts that determine my progress towards eternity with You. So I pray that You send me the grace and wisdom to be like the Sunflower. May I always keep my focus fixed firmly on You! Amen"
"1. Faith is the ability to not panic.
2. If you worry, you didn’t pray. If you prayed, don’t worry.
3. As a child of God, prayer is kind of like calling home every day.
4. Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.
5. When we get tangled up in our problems, be still. God wants us to be still so He can untangle the knot.
6. Do the Math. Count you blessings.
7. Nothing is real to you until you experience it, otherwise it’s only hearsay.
8. Dear God: I have a problem. It’s me!
9. Silence us often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.
10. Laugh every day, it’s like inner jogging.
11. The most important things in your home are the people.
12. Learn from the turtle… it only makes progress when it sticks out its neck.
13. There is no key to happiness. The door is always open.
14. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
15. He who dies with the most toys is still dead.
16. We do not remember days, but moments. Life moves too fast, so enjoy your precious moments.
17. God wants us to be spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
18. It’s all right to sit on your pity pot every now and again. Just be sure to flush when you’re done.
19. Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.
20. Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what other think you are."
"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough hellos to get you though the final good-bye. I Wish You Enough!"
Truth in Advertising
How about a little truth when offering abortions about the pain the babies experience during the procedure?.
How about a little truth about anti-Christian bias and the slow marginalization of those confessing the Christian faith?" How Christianophobia is affecting Europe and European Christians.
How about a little truth instead of blatant anti-Catholicism masquerading as an 'anti-political advertisement' and on Canadian PUBLIC Television!?
How about a little truth about the lack of Religious Freedom in Saudi Arabia, while proclaiming a special day for Religious Freedom in the USofA, Mr. Bush?
How about a little honesty when arguing about money? All money arguments are caused by a conflict of core values, and the hierarchy ranking system of those core values inside of the persons having the argument.
How about a little honesty when creating regulations before a legislature has created a law? Allowing a lobbying arm of a State Medical Insurance Administration to have so much influence on a State Legislature Committee is a huge abrogation of the democratic process.
How about a little publicity for a website that gives parents facts on sexually transmitted diseases in terms they can use to discuss these issues with their children?
How about a little human dignity instead of using "Bodies" to dehumanize the dead which too easily translates into dehumanizing the living? Part of this display (coming soon to a city near you) displays cutaways of human fetuses. Some have defects, all are proof that there is a real living person growing inside a pregnant woman. But the question is: Were these fetuses aborted and viable before being "plasticized"? There's a question of human rights violations by China and the legitimacy of how these bodies were obtained.
Read this to learn more about what the Bible and Tradition say about humanity and dignity of the human body.
I report, you read and decide. Peace.
PS, I finally get it. The Catholic Church does not ordain women as priests because at the Last Supper Jesus Christ consecrated only men for the Priesthood (capital P). There were women present in the Upper Room. His Mother Mary was there as were other women [Mark 15:40 And there were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalen, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joseph, and Salome: 41 Who also when he was in Galilee followed him, and ministered to him, and many other women that came up with him to Jerusalem.] Nowhere in Holy Scripture or Tradition has there ever been anything written that indicates that women specifically were ordained as Priests. Everything written or passed down orally from the Early Church {Catholic, Universal} only indicates a male Priesthood. Jesus was very precise in his teaching. He never once indicated that women were to be ordained as Priests. The argument about the "day in which Jesus lived" is not valid. Jesus did a lot and said a lot that caused contention. If God had wanted women to be consecrated as Priests, God would have had Jesus say so. It's not there, It's just not there. All the present arguments are null and void. They hold no water. Or bread and wine, either. When humans get angry because they don't like what they know is Truth and they want to change God to make Him "more personable" or "more relative to humanity," they start another faith-walk and claim it's somehow directly linked to Jesus or the Upper Room and that it's a "fresh interpretation of Scripture" or it's a "direct revelation from God," or they propose to be a "prophet of god" (and we know that the way to verify if this is true is to examine every prophecy to see if all of them are correct -- Prophets of God cannot have a 99% or less accuracy rating).
There are 10 Commandments. These are commandments, not suggestion-ments. As soon as someone wanted to break one of them, he started a new 'church,' a 'denomination,' a NEW faith-walk. And this faith-walk was created by cutting off whatever the "founder" did not like in the former Church or faith-walk. King Henry the Eighth is prime example. He'd already pulled strings to get a Church annulment (an annulment means that the marriage was not a Valid Christian Marriage before God) and when the Prince of the Church on Earth, accountable to the Head of the Church, Christ Jesus, and accountable for all of the souls in Christendom said "No," old Henry got angry rather than subject himself to the 10 Commandments and the only and Holy Catholic Church. What did he do? He created his own church by removing all England from the auspices of Rome, the Roman Church and the Pope, naming himself the head of the "church in England."
And with each subsequent 'divorce' from Rome and the Holy Roman Catholic Church, Western Civilization has stepped farther and farther from the Church consecrated in the Upper Room. There are all kinds of reasons given for this: such as, King Henry VII just wanted to get the Bible (which he desecrated by removing 7 books) written in the language of "the common man" when in fact he wanted to cavort with which ever woman he thought could produce a male heir for him. It is sad. You can get upset, but what I say can be verified with every subsequent "denomination" or "new" church or faith-walk. Until all who want to call themselves Christian give obeisance to the Catholic Church (and when the Orthodox Church re-combines with the Catholic Church in Rome -- which I believe will occur in the near future), we are like the people at the Tower of Babel after God confused their tongues and languages. When all Christendom can reunite to give proper praise, honor and respect to God, then we will once again be "the Body of Christ" and ready for Him to return to take His Church to be in Heaven with Him. MARANATHA!

The presentation of the cadavers, which are often posed in strange positions, may give the impression that the deceased human body can be presented as an object of idle curiosity or even amusement. Viewers could easily see this exhibit as similar to a 19th century carnival presentation of human oddities, rather than contemporary science. Premier Exhibitions is also a for-profit entity, which could certainly add to the impression that the bodies are being exploited for financial gain, rather than any real scientific purpose.

Fibromyalgia & Backpacking
I suffer from Fibromyalgia. It's not as bad as some people's because my doctor prescribed a second drug which kept me pain free. My insurance carrier has refused to approve the medication because its primary use is not for Fibromyalgia Syndrome. I haven't had this medication for a week. I am in a lot of pain. There is no joint on my body (that I'm aware of) that doesn't hurt when I touch it. And some of the joints that adjoin other joints when I move are in constant pain as long as I'm moving. Then, other joints that are compressed when I'm not moving cause pain. Typing is causing pain. All because of an insurance company that wants to save a buck or two and make medical decisions concerning my health.
I AM angry. It's the only thing that is keeping me moving. Without anger, I'd be in really bad shape.
Backpacking the Appalachian Trail has been a goal of mine for a number of years. Right now, for two reasons I'm ready to chuck the whole thing and find another hobby that includes saner members than some in the backpacking community.
This is what I recently wrote on my MySpace blog:
( for additional information about this case)
I wrote something similar on a private yahoo group and was personally attacked for questioning Meredith's "expert hiker" status. Well, I said then and say now -- I report it as I see it. And the news reports, while they may not state the same, do support my observations. These observations are MINE and no one else's. I don't really care if hikers disagree with me. I've been in situations on the trail similar to Meredith's and I've hiked out of them because I am More Mature and because I Have A Contingency Plan. Poor Meredith didn't. She was young and thought she was invincible (as do the majority of youth who have no experience in the "real and painful world") and as do many "heads in the clouds" hikers who attacked my observations. There is more than a modicum of truth in what I wrote. And I continue to stand by it.
Right at this moment, in FMS pain-anger-fog and incredulous that I would be so vilified by hikers who are angry at me ONLY because they know in their heart of hearts that what I wrote about immature and inexperienced hikers like Meredith is true, I am this [ ] close to making a drastic change in my future plans. IF I Thru Hike or WHEN I Thru Hike the Appalachian Trail, it will not be as a member of any online group of hikers who attack me for telling the truth. They can chalk it up to my OPINION or they can chalk it up to my PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. I prefer to be in the company of people mature enough to know that experience which works trumps just about everything else.

Meredith Hope Emerson went hiking with her dog, Ella, on New Year's Day at Blood Mountain in North Georgia. She was kidnapped and eventually killed a few days later by a man named Gary Michael Hilton.
The question we all ask is "why?"
Meredith made some "newbie hiker" mistakes, even though her roommate stated she was an "experienced hiker" and had a "blue belt in Karate." What were they? Not in any order they are:
1- She failed to keep her dog close to her so that Ella could protect her and she allowed Ella to think that the "stranger" was one of Meredith's friends.
2- She failed to take into consideration that just because someone is on a trail, wearing a backpack, doesn't mean he is a member of the hiking community or that he is a safe person, even if he is a member. There are a lot of hikers and backpackers who do not have the best interests of other hikers in mind. A few years ago there was a hiker Thru Hiking the AT who was a thief. No one caught him in the act until he got to Rhode Island, but other hikers were sure that it was their expensive clothing or gear that this hiker had on or with him, but because there was no way to actually prove it, he got away with it. One guy I talked to said that a very expensive polyester hiking shirt he "lost" at a laundromat turned up being worn by this thief-hiker, but because he had not placed anything identifying the shirt as his, the thief wasn't confronted.
3- She befriended a hiker she did not know. Or she allowed him to ingratiate himself to her so that she didn't keep her defenses up. No one should live in fear. No one should have to be constantly on guard toward other people one meets. YET, depending on the circumstance and place, we often do just that. You get on a bus or airplane and you don't tell your life story to the unknown person next to you or open up your wallet to count your money. Why? You are on guard and you keep a societally appropriate distance from strangers.
4- It appears that Meredith forgot what her Mama taught her about strangers. And she let her defenses down. We say we don't want to live in "fear" but we have the ability to use fear for our own good. Fear is a postive emotion, not a negative one. It's fear that keeps us from walking in front of moving trains. It's fear that keeps us out of many potentially dangerous situations and away from potentially dangerous people. Fear is healthy; fear is often what keeps us alive. If you haven't "honed" your fears to be useful, then I suggest you work on using fear to your benefit.
5- I suggest she didn't use her 'gut test' with Gary Michael Hilton. Other hikers who saw him on New Year's Day said they got 'bad feelings' about him. People here in town say he was a regular at one of the laundomats; those who work there described as "weird." They said looking into his eyes gave them strong negative feelings. Did Meredith fail to look at his eyes?
There are other newbie mistakes made by Meredith. All the Karate in the world won't protect you from someone who hits you from behind. A new acquaintance is best observed around others. Rather than going to her car, she'd have been better off hiking to the road crossing at Neel Gap and walking into Mountain Crossings Outfitters there.
I don't know what transpired between the two -- an innocent young girl with few life experiences and a man who may turn out to be a serial killer if cases in Florida and North Carolina can be linked to him.
It's all in the eyes. Always look a person in the eyes. And always accept that "gut" feeling as "nature's way" of warning you about a person or situation.
I feel so sorry for Meredith's parents. It's unnatural for parents to bury children. Children are supposed to bury parents. Parents are supposed to see their children get married and produce their grandchildren. We'll never know who Meredith might have become as she aged. Gary Michael Hilton stole that from her parents, friends and all of us.
The worst kind of thief is one who kills another person and steals that person's future from all of us. In my opinion, a person who steals another person's life has forfeited his own life.
God comfort Meredith's parents and friends.
