If I knew how to set up a poll, I would for this

WHY doesn't the public, at the grassroots level, make a concerted effort to demand that anyone running for POTUS resign any Federal position he or she has as soon as he or she announces for the Presidency?

I don't understand this. There are Senators who cannot be representing their constituency because they're too busy raising money, attending debates, and working on obtaining enough support to win the nomination at their respective National Conventions. Why do people put up with this?

Look at the voting record of each candidate while they're running for POTUS. "What record?" Both Senator McCain and Senator Obama failed to vote On the Amendment (Kyl Amdt. No. 3017 as Modified) Vote Date: September 26, 2007, 12:44 PM. There was another vote about a half hour prior and neither Senator voted. Where were they and why are there constituents not in an uproar?

Look at who failed to vote on a Conference Report on September 24: Senators Biden, Kerry, Smith, Brownback, McCain, Dodd and Obama.

Any candidate worth my vote will not be in a Federal Office at the time of this State's Primary election.

After all this election fury is over, I just may toss my idea out to the public forum to see what happens. Bur for right now, I'm just going to watch and wait.
