You know, I was doing my usual FreeRepublic reading, hit a link, then another, then another. Found some GOOD stuff. Websurfed and found some "not so good" stuff. Mostly a lack of research on the part of the pamphlet writer. Shot off an email before I'd completely read one of the websites I used in the email.
Uh Huh.
Apologies extended. The website was RIGHT ON TARGET! I mean, good historical research. Then . . . it called the Roman Catholic Church the 'great wh%re' and that shot their accuracy rating down to the depths.
Why is it, please, that someone can be right on 99% or 98% of what he is writing or expressing and then let satan or self-aggrandizement sneak in and spoil it by 1% or 2%? It's like buying a gallon of sweet milk and then pouring the last drops of the soured milk into the fresh milk bottle. It's no longer sweet milk. And it doesn't take but a drop of sour milk to ruin an entire gallon of sweet milk.
Oh, people! Why do you insist on posturing when you're trying to express yourself? There is no reason for someone who calls himself a Christian to bash another Christian just because the two do not attend the same Church. Do both preach Jesus Christ crucified? Do both preach salvation through the atonement of Jesus' death on the cross? I could go on, but I won't.
I am so disappointed when I come upon Catholic Bashing in something I'm reading. Is it not enough that satan has his claws embedded in USofA culture? Must someone who professes to be a Pastor and one who's dedicated his life to the gospel of Jesus Christ back-stab other Christians?
Let's look at something. How old is your church? If you are of Western European lineage and are not a Catholic, your church was created out of the Catholic Church. Every other denomination is a man-made and man-instituted organization which broke off from the Catholic Church.
Face it. Be honest. Do your research. Google "How old is your church" and read what you find. And then come back and thank me.
This is not to say that what you write is of less value. God has given you an insight into the Scriptures and you rightly share that online. I only admonish you to share it with the same sweet spirit with which Jesus speaks to all people, including his believers.
